Council Meeting Agendas
The agendas for the city council meetings on Thursday and Friday have been posted and are available online using the links to the right. Ready or not, the city will make decisions for the finances for the next year.

Word has it the Mayor has already picked somebody to replace Lorina Chavez. Once again, somebody needs to tell the Mayor he does not have the right to arbitrarily select somebody. Bone up on the law regarding filling vacancies on a type A general law city council.
Re a single vacancy in the governing body of a municipality, a majority of the remaining members, EXCLUDING THE MAYOR, may fill the vacancy by appointment unless an election to fill the vacancy is required. The mayor may vote on the appointment only if there is a tie.
