BoA Meeting Rescheduled
UPDATE: The latest explanation is that the agenda was posted on Wednesday after all. The keys to the lock on the bulletin board had been lost for a couple of weeks but were found on Wednesday. When Flo learned that the key had been found, he asked another staff person to clean the board off on Thursday. Evidently, there were some old agendas posted. The BoA agenda that had been posted by one person on Wednesday was removed by another on Thursday.
A series of innocent mistakes caused a big problem for BoA. It's hard to fault a staff person for each small mistake. If city hall had been open on Friday afternoon, the problem could have been corrected. If the administrator had been in town, he could have come down to city hall to fix the problem. If the administrator managed city hall with competence, the problem would not have happened in the first place.
The BoA meeting has been scheduled as a special meeting for Thursday. They have some time-sensitive decisions to make and called the meeting with no help from the administrator who was not at work this Monday.
P.S. Mark you calendars for 6PM Friday. That is the tentative date for swearing-in and installing the new mayor and three new council members. That is unless Sauceda finds a way to bungle this posting as well, assuming he makes it back to Marfa by 6PM Tuesday. Remember the great fun we had two years ago when Marfa mismanaged that electoral transition with Flo as administrator?

I have noticed some keys kept on hooks where anyone can reach them. Don't offices usually keep keys in a key lock box?
Yeah, but this office has a solid wall of $3,000 worth of glass to keep it secure!
off the subject, but what were the results of the audit?
I was not there, and have only looked at it briefly. Maybe somebody else can comment. We had more revenue than expected and more expenses than budgeted. The auditor had many somments about procedures that can be improved...
If it was presented to council is it a public document now?
Yes, council voted to accept it without change.
It is a public document available for view at city hall and copies can be made for something like ten cents a page.
